The all-new 2009 Cadillac CTS-v; more than 500 hp
By Benjamin Cyr - (2008-01-11)
Using the same supercharged 6,2 liter engine as the upcoming Corvette ZR1, this new CTS-V seems to have all the elements to compete with the best performance sedan from Europe.

The all-new 2009 Cadillac CTS-v; more than 500 hp
By Benjamin Cyr
This new CTS-V should be available by the end of this upcoming Summer, with a long list of impressive elements. Here is a quick overview:
- Supercharged 6,2 liter V8, producing around 550 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. The CTS-V should produce 70 hp less than the ZR1 because the Eaton Supercharger used is different;
- the choice of two transmissions, one six speed manual and one six speed automatic;
- a new magnetic suspension totally adjustable;
- 19 inches wheels with Michelin PS2 tires;
- a brand new traction and stability control which includes four different settings;
- 0-100 km/h should be covered in approx. 4.5 seconds.
The final price (MSRP) is not known yet but we can estimate it between 75 000$ and 80 000$ in Canada. |
