Canadian price of the 2009 Corvette ZR1

General Motors of Canada has announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 will have an MSRP of $125,195. With a top speed of 330 km/h, the ZR1 will be the fastest Corvette ever produced.

The company said that the ZR1 will have performance numbers of zero to 96 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and zero to 160 km/h in 7.0 seconds, thanks in part to its favourable power-to-weight ratio.

“The ZR1 is an incredible car by any measure,” said Marc Comeau, vice president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. “There’s simply no other vehicle in the world that does a better job of balancing performance, fuel economy and the entire value equation.”

The ZR1 is powered by a new LS9 6.2-litre supercharged small-block V8 engine, with a new sixth-generation Roots-type supercharger and complementing charge-cooling system for power and torque across the rpm range. The engine is hand-assembled at GM’s Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan. Estimated fuel fuel consumption is 15.6 L/100 km city and 10.2 L/100 km highway.

The standard ZR1 comes with content based on the Z06, including lightweight seats and other lightweight components. An available uplevel interior package includes power-adjustable heated and leather-trimmed sport seats, side airbags, Bose premium stereo, navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, power telescoping steering column, and custom leather-wrapped interior. The car’s only other option is chrome wheels.
