By Benjamin Cyr
Nissan revealed the all-new 2009 Infiniti FX 50 at a special event during the Geneva Motor Show. Replacing the actual FX45, this new generation will go on sale in the United States and Canada in June 2008. It will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 producing 390 horsepower. A V6 version, the FX37, should be available later during the year.
Other highlights of this cross-over vehicle include a seven-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel double-wishbone suspension, 21-inch wheels designed by Enkei, Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension, Rear-Active Steer, and Intelligent Brake Assist.
The driver-oriented cockpit has sport seating and available advanced audio, navigation and entertainment systems — including an 11-speaker Bose-developed audio system, Infiniti Intelligent Key, Distance Control Assist (DCA), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) and Around View Monitor system. |
