Nissan GT-R 2009 / first test

We know since a few months that this GT-R is coming to Canada next Summer. Although, in terms of performance, the only numbers we were given were from Nissan Corp. Now, for the first time, we have the performance numbers from an independant source who tested a production GT-R in Japan. Be ready... it's really impressive!

Nissan GT-R 2009 / first test

Based on that first independant test of a production GT-R in Japan, here are the info you need to know:

- V6 3799 cc, twin-turbo, 480hp and 434 lb-ft of torque

- all-wheel drive via a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission

- 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.3 sec

- Quarter mile in 11.6 à 121 mph

- Top speed of 195 mph (315 km/h)

- 60 - 0 mph: 104 feet (31 meters)

- Price in USA will be 70 000$, so we should expect something around 85 000 $ in Canada.

The car should be available in June 2008. So as soon as we can review this car, we will let you know! We can't hardly wait. It's a Porsche 911 Turbo performance (and better than a Viper 2008 or Corvette Z06) for a fraction of the price.
