Thumps up for this evolution!

It’s never easy to show a woodsman the ways of civilized society but after driving the Jeep Wrangler 2008, Sahara edition, I must admit I had pleasure in meeting the best real Jeep to this day. I will not try to tell you stories on how this Jeep was in off-road conditions since I did not take it for a spin in the woods or in a muddy field. I mostly drove the truck in secondary roads and also was able to try in city conditions. But we all know this vehicle has been around for a long time and its enviable reputation for off-road driving is not a scam. I can say that this Wrangler seems to stuck to its roots and has kept all it’s great abilities although it is much more civilized than it’s predecessors.

Likes

  • It’s handling (no it’s not a mistake);
  • The all around solidity;
  • Front seats comfort;
  • It’s good look (although it’s subjective);
  • The hard top roof with panels;
  • The YES (YES Essentials stain-resistant fabric) cloth;
  • The smoothness of the V6 3,8 liters motor;
  • The Infiniti sound system is worthy of the best nightclubs;
  • Fuel economy (but only if one can behave);
  • The six speed manual transmission;
  • Nice looking dashboard;
  • Quiet ride;
  • The uniqueness of driving a Jeep;
  • Turn radius;
  • The camaraderie between Jeep owners.

Dislikes

  • The absolutely not practical interior;
  • Ridiculously small cargo space;
  • Hard to reach rear seats;
  • Radio commands;
  • Fuel consumption  (if one is not careful);
  • Some cheap plastics;
  • This Jeep is built for a very specific market.
