Buick Enclave 2008
By Steve Lussier
Finally, at a time where the cost of fuel weighs heavily in purchasing a vehicle, the ‘’Enclave’’ consumed on average 13.2 litres per 100km during our trip, two thirds of which took place on the road and the remaining third, in the city. This constitutes an excellent combined consumption considering the type of vehicle.
In short, the ‘’Enclave’’ was a welcome surprise. It can be compared favourably to the best in this class. It cost more than the previous version but worth it because of the remarkable design, a more than adequate engine and irreproachable detailing which all add up to driving satisfaction. Finally, I’ll admit to regretting leaving it after the road tryout.
Road-test liked:
- the overall design;
- the quality of the materials and the detailing;
- comfort and handling;
- low fuel consumption.
Road-test disliked:
- poor acceleration;
- arduous parking maneouvrability.
