Chevrolet Equinox 2007
By René Gervais
All in all, we have a vehicle, given normal usage, whose performance should satisfy most. One of the Equinox’s strong points is the very smooth five-speed automatic transmission. Road handling gets a pass and so does the apparently improved soundproofing. However, when one challenges the 3.4 litres, V6, the resulting sound would not be described as heady.
Much appreciated in the Equinox LT are the satellite radio and navigation system. The touch screen is user friendly; steering through the radio and guidance controls seems trouble free. Furthermore, I give the look an honourable mention, displaying as it does, an aesthetically enhanced dashboard with the sports lay-out, making dial checking easier.
In conclusion
The Equinox offers an interesting value-price ratio. This is a roomy vehicle, equipped with the very practical all-wheel drive yet it doesn’t drain your pockets. For more details, see our essay of 2005. |
