Road-test likes:
- The engine’s power;
- very potent accelerations;
- inspired and surprising handling (for an SUV);
- high level braking power considering the vehicle’s weight of 2200kg;
- the support and comfort of the seats;
- the tailpipe motor music;
- the 4WD system’s adherence in every situation;
- the affordability, taking into account the performance.
Road-test dislikes:
- the guzzling of Super;
- the cab’s poor quality materials;
- the weak off-road capabilities compared to other Jeeps;
- certain features being optional (satellite radio, sliding roof, heated seats);
- the very dry rear suspension on bumpy surfaces.
We’re listing quite negative points here, but I doubt their effect on the targeted buyer of the Grand Cherokee SRT8. When driving an SUV, there’s only one thought in mind: put the pedal to the floor to get the unique Jeep experience. And the hell with the environment and the dirt roads! If you think about this every day, look no further. |
