Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2007

Since we faulted the Mitsubishi Eclipse for not being a true sport vehicle at the time of its release, we didn’t expect anything much different from the convertible version. Although we were right, I don’t consider this car to be a letdown.
Superficial as it may be to talk about the reaction a vehicle gets before anything else, sometimes it’s justified. Of course, our test model was dripping a bright red, turning heads, but the styling, in this case, can’t be overlooked. In my humble opinion, the Eclipse is, by far, the best looking filly in the Mitsubishi stable even though I can hear the naysayer pointing out that the Eclipse wouldn’t have far to go…

- Strength of the 260 horsepower, V6 MIVEC engine and the option of a 162 horsepower, 4 cylinder.
- Vibrant sound of the V6 engine
- Long haul comfort
- Power and quality of the sound system
- Retractable roof’s ease of handling.
- Respectable convertible trunk size
Red light
- Torque effect in the steering wheel
- Disappointing anti-slip regulation on wet surface
- Very limited vision with top up
- Symbolic back seats coupled with low frequency speakers between passengers
