Suzuki SX-4 sedan 2008
By Denny Meideiros
INTRODUCTION
Suzuki, my experience has always been the same over the years; they all have that somewhat unusual but somewhat engaging design, and have an individuality that is different from its competitors. The 2008 Suzuki SX4 Sport Sedan is a bit different this time around, a cleaner appearance and a more alluring style prompted my curiosity on the fun factor behind the wheel. So without further delay let us start the review…
THE EXTERIOR
The model I am reviewing is the Suzuki Sport version of the SX4 sedan. It comes with a horde of sporting commodities for a modest price of $1,800 over the MSRP of $16,490 you get:
- 17 inch alloy wheels with high performance all season tires
- Front, side and rear body appearance kit
- Four-wheel disk brakes
- Heated mirrors
- Fog lamps
- Six speakers, six-CD/MP3 stereo and subwoofer
- Cruise control
You even get Automatic climate control.
The sports package makes the SX4 more appealing to the drivers that require a few notches more of the cool factor, all that without affecting the budget all that much. Visually, the higher then usual stance makes it look, well, not that sporty. I actually got to see the SX4 beside my neighbour Hyundai Santa Fe and realised that it is very close to having the same elevation. The bigger then usual mirrors and extra front door glass also takes away from the sporty cliché that Suzuki is trying to achieve with this sport sedan version of the SX4.
THE INTERIOR
Suzuki always made a very modest and economic interior, and why not, you can only do so much with a manufacturer’s budget for a car of this class built for basic transportation. For this year, Suzuki decided to invest a bit more money on quality materials for the interior and it shows. From the appealing gauge cluster and controls, everything feels solid and well constructed for a car of this class range. |
