Toyota Highlander 2008
By Benjamin Cyr
We disliked
- the different versions and options which rapidly inflate the price;
- the ridiculously small cargo storage area behind the third row;
- the hideaway central seat of the second row is a good idea but the passenger using that seat in the middle will find it very uncomfortable;
- the basic version goes without equipment that should been included in the dealer options like automatic air conditioning or heated seats.
The 2008 Highlander stands as a superior vehicle to its predecessor. I find, however, that in terms of driving pleasure and comfort, it does not make a clean break from the RAV4Limited, yet the price difference rapidly escalates. I am perhaps too demanding because when compared to other same size SUVs (Mazda CX-9, Hundai Veracruz,etc..), then the price and size are comparable, not to mention the Toyota’s lower fuel consumption compared to other SUVs. |
